Wherefore Art Thou?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on March 19, 2010 by Yasmin Heartsdale

Perhaps the hardest aspect of Second Life is when people vanish.  Real life is of course expected at some point to intervene in our Second Life experience eventually.

For some of our loved ones, its been very harsh.  The landscape is littered with memorials to those that have fallen in Real Life.  As you saw in an earlier post, the American Cancer Society has a sim dedicated to some of these souls that have been confirmed and reported as lost to cancer.

But no doubt the worse is when someone we love and cherish simply vanishes without an explanation.  At times like those, we pray and hope that the worse has not occurred, that real life simply became “too noisy”.  That one’s work commitments or family obligations became so present in one’s life that they simply no longer had the time for Second Life.

Those that know me in Second Life know of my former Mistress, Idoru Ryba.  Idoru logged off a few days before Thanksgiving, and has not been heard from since.

Regardless of what the avatar of Idoru Ryba represents to me in Second Life, the person behind the keyboard in Real Life is a friend.  I pray and hope that where ever that person is, or whatever that person is doing, health and happiness are in abundance.

If you are reading this Idoru, you are loved, and sorely missed.  By me, your friends, and your family.

Gra, Dilseacht, Cairdeas.

And the winner is….

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on March 2, 2009 by Yasmin Heartsdale

First, let me apologize for not blogging in the last several days.  There are some serious issues involving the health of a few close relatives and I have been, when not in-world, *slightly* distracted.  I also have my Family’s Spring Break vacation to plan for, so my mind has been more or less focused elsewhere.

Let me take this time to thank everyone that took the time to submit an entry into my contest, “My Mistress/Domme is the best because…”  After much deliberation, the contest came down to four entries that rose above.

For “My Mistress/Domme is the best because…” the nominees are Kat5 Catteneo, JenniferGail Landar, DiaperedPet Jewell, and Ophelia Hax.

Let me just say that this decision was not easy.  I even consulted several close Family members as to their opinions.  All four of these finalists wrote honest, genuine, loving essays about why they felt their Mistresses were the best.  Since two of these entrants share a Mistress, I would have to say that three of SL’s top Dominants were represented and each of them should be very proud of their girls.  As I know all three, I am going to take the liberty of speaking for them and say they are VERY proud of these ladies.

Rather than spoil the contest by declaring the winner here and now, I submit for my readers’ pleasure, the winning entry.

My Mistress is the best because…

She’s a Legend!!  A Legend  built on love and compassion for others.  The ability & gift to give people what they truly want, without them ever consciously asking for it.  To look down deep into your very soul with passion and understanding, and when She finds what She’s looking for, to wield it, to shape and control you with her will.  She commands respect with just her presence alone, She has a genuine Aura that draws you to her and intoxicates your senses into submission and awe.  Obsession should always feel this good!!  She knows what you have done, both good and naughty before you even think of telling her, She’s just everywhere.

Some of the most inluential people in SL call her Mistress or Miss, but more importantly they call her friend.  She has the ability to get into your head and stay there, creative with discipline; cruel, harsh, evil and even light, administered with gracious love.  A task or a session is always ended with a “Thank You” from her, and that “Thank You” alone translates into a feeling of pure pleasure and bliss, and pride.  Knowing you made Her smile, it’s the best.  She is a legend, i often hear stories about her when i meet people, and it makes me very proud and reminds me who i represent.

When you love you should not say “Mistress is in my heart”, but rather “i am in the heart of Mistress” and think not you can direct the course of love, for this love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

A Legend is also represented by her girls, both past & present, my Mistress has had the creme de le creme of girls submit to her, love and embrace her, always remembering the influence she had on them.  She does truly know the ebb of your tide, as well as the flood.

You seek her not with hours to kill, but hours to live.

My Mistress’ soul unfolds itself like a Lotus of countless petals, embracing you in her warmth, glow and Aura.

my Mistress is the best because she truly cares, she is a legend, and not just to me, but many, touching everyone she comes in contact with, a legend of love, my Mistress is, Mistress Idoru Ryba.

pet

For those of you following my blog, you know “pet” is DiaperedPet Jewell, or DP.  Congratulations Pet, your essay is beautifully done, as is everything you do.

As a footnote, I once had the pleasure of owning Pet before Idoru *makes mental note to stop introducing her girls to Idoru* and there are few submissives quite like Pet.  She is genuine in the adoration she gives, not only to her Owner, but to her friends.  I am honored to have Pet on my friends list, and I know Idoru is blessed to own her.

Life’s a Show

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on February 7, 2009 by Yasmin Heartsdale

First, my apologies to my adorable wife for stealing a lyrical line from one of her favorite shows to open up tonight’s entry.  *and we all play our parts*  Love you Tey!

Idoru.  Even typing the name can sometimes cause me to shiver.  *and when the music starts*  If its one thing SL has taught me, its that we do all play a part.  Sometimes, we get to play several parts.  I had no intention of being owned by someone when I entered SL.  I also had no intention of being so devoted to someone, I’d do anything for them.  Idoru yanked that rug out from underneath my feet quickly.  *we open up our hearts*

Odd, considering that the first time I met Idoru, she was locked in a cage by, all people, Cerdita.   I know.  I know.  You’re as shocked as I am.  Despite her “predicament”, Idoru seemed very much in control of the situation, and I was half tempted to rescue Cerdita.

Something drew me to Idoru during that first encounter.  Over the weeks to come, I submitted to her and became known as Idoru’s Huntress.  A Domme/sub relationship somewhat built on a Gorean model, but really one that Idoru and I melded to fit us.  And life was good.  *its all right, if some things come out wrong*

Now, there are several people that have asked me how I could possibly explain my relationship with Idoru, and my feelings toward her, in one blog.  During my recent bout with pneumonia, I gave this topic a lot of thought.  Funny the things that go through your head when you’re under the weather.  *we’ll sing a happy song, and you can sing along*

Part of my aura is Idoru, and I like to think, part of her aura is me.  I’ve never fully admitted it, but perhaps a large part of who I am in SL comes from Idoru.  I like to think that a large part of who she is comes from me.  Sometimes when the two of us are together with a crowd, one of us will make a comment that only the other understands, and its as if the rest of SL is the butt of our private joke.  So, why would I ruin that?  *or if they know enough to know*

Several people have been waiting on me to blog about Idoru.  Explain how she came to be my Mistress.  Understand why and how I walked away.  And make no mistake, I walked away.  I take full responsibility for that, despite Idoru’s pick page.  *that when you’ve bowed, you leave the crowd*

I have a lot of memories from my time at Idoru’s feet.  A few unpleasant, but for every unpleasant memory, I have a thousand joyous ones.  And I’ve decided, these memories are mine and her’s.  And I’m not talking.  Lets face it, shouldn’t some areas of SL retain their mystique?  *life’s not a song*

Anything that needs or needed to be said about Idoru has already been said between the two of us.  So, I am closing this chapter, closing this book, and asking the court to seal the records.  *life isn’t bliss*  Since I currently have one of SL’s premiere prison system judges nude and kneeling at my feet, this should be done in short order.

I just want to close the post by officially going on record as stating that Idoru is, in my mind, one of the two best Dommes in SL.  Gra, Dilseacht, Cairdeas.

*life is just this*
